Pathogens

The major categories are bacteria, parasite and fungus. Within those categories, however, there are many subclasses and sometimes a pathogen can cross between categories.  Pathogens are the most well known causes of illness but they are nothing to fear. Our bodies have been created to recognize and fight off these invaders; if we keep our bodies clean and well supported it will be able to defend against them!

The biggest problem we have with pathogens is when we are already toxic or worn out and our bodies can't do what they have to do OR the pathogens we are exposed to have been altered or weaponized so that there is no way for our bodies to deal with them. Weaponized pathogens will be addressed in a different module.

Here is a short video about pathogens. It only covers single cell type parasites, so don't forget those are out there too. For more information on each individual category, see the corresponding module.  **Also, we do not believe viruses are organisms or pathogens, we will cover that separately!

Fungus

Fungus can be equally beneficial and disastrous to our health so it is VERY important to understand in our pursuit of health. In this module we will explore the negative effects of fungus. We are ALL exposed to fungus ALL the time - every breath we take has mold spores. It is in our environment, our food and our bodies. The key to living in this world is managing our exposure and being able to identify when we are being impacted. Fungus can be the cause of nearly any symptom and most diseases. Fungal infections and the toxins they produce can be a major source of your health problems.

The CDC often does campaigns to raise awareness as seen in this infographic designed for doctors. Unfortunately most medical doctors fail to recognize fungus as a significant risk and those that do often do not know how to identify it or treat it.

Parasites

I have WHAT?

It's a common reaction to finding out about these critters. Here are some key points in dealing with them.

Parasites are organisms that require a host to survive - they can be inside or outside the body and they can be beneficial or harmful. Most are invisible to the naked eye.

Most people are surprised that they have parasites but we all do in some form. Conventional tests rely on stool samples, but only a fraction of parasites ever make it through the digestive system and into our feces.

Parasites can be spread between people, people and animals, can be found in the water, on our food, in the dirt, etc. They can be found in every part of the body.

Our bodies were created to be able to fight off harmful parasites but sometimes they get out of control and we need to get our immune system some help.

Bacteria

Balancing bacteria in the body can be a challenge. We want lots of healthy bacteria in the gut but need to limit overgrowth of harmful bacteria elsewhere. Don't be tricked: lots of times we think bacteria is to blame, our primary infection is often fungal or parasitic. Bacteria make for common co-infections.

Virus

Is a virus a pathogen?

How is the body like a computer?

What does software have to do with our health?

Why herbs and frequency based products  work on viruses?

How can we protect ourselves?

All of these questions are addressed in Dr. Monzo's "What is a virus?" video. Check it out here!
